Set across 28 acres of vineyard-laced hillside on the Napa-Sonoma border, this is a low-slung cottage resort that takes its cues from the working farm country around it: polished concrete hearths, floor-to-ceiling bifold doors opening onto landscaped gardens, exposed ceilings, and earthy linens in orange, green and white. The 100 keys are almost all standalone cottages (plus six multi-bedroom residences and eight suites), arranged in small neighborhoods. FARM is the destination kitchen, drawing from an on-site culinary garden, with Boon Fly Cafe and a general store rounding out the campus. Two pools, an adults-only infinity pool with vineyard views, and a guests-only spa anchor the wellness side.

Anyone wanting a walkable urban scene, a buzzy lobby, or a single high-rise hotel feel should skip it: the layout is spread out, you drive or bike to wineries, and the public-facing restaurants and market mean parts of the property aren't private to guests.

What sells this place is the location logic: nowhere else in Wine Country puts you this close to both valleys, paired with a cottage product that feels residential rather than hotel-like. Spend the money if you want vineyard privacy with proper service and a serious spa; book a cottage with a back-patio soaking tub and fire pit, and target shoulder-season midweek rates.
